Perfect escape for couples
The room was excellent with a great view of the garden. The staff were very polite and friendly and even arranged parking while we took a walk into town before check-in, no extra cost.
It wasn't exactly a bargain but you get what you pay for.

The hotel building dates back several centuries and so has lots of character. Hotel manageress willing to listen to and act on feedback.
Room had relatively new en suite and shower, but curtains did not close fully and carpet needed replacing. Daily maid lacked sufficient attention to detail..

How often do you get to stay in a place that was built in 1603, it's a history buff's dream come true. It was the right mix of historical and modern, right down to the free WiFi.
I prefer a shower to a bathtub -- it's just not that comfortable sitting in a bath and washing your hair with a hand held tap. And I had to clean the tub first just to satisfy myself -- not that it looked dirty -- you just never know who sat there before you....

Good location, clean and nicely presented. Good food. A good place from which to explore the district.
No complaints at all just what we wanted. Front door security is a bit lax

Excellent breakfasts. Availability of wireless. And a very interesting historic building.
Inadequate lighting in rooms (bedside lamps particularly). Very difficult to read. Needs a directory of facilities and services in rooms.
